
- Leandro Ruiz Fernandez joins as Policy Manager, Government Affairs
The American Cleaning Institute (ACI), the trade association for the U.S. cleaning product supply chain, announced the appointment of Leandro Ruiz Fernandez as Policy Manager, Government Affairs.
In his role, Ruiz will be responsible for tracking and researching policy and political developments, representing ACI at public and coalition venues, and communicating with policy makers at the state and federal levels. Previously, he served as Deputy Director of Grassroots Operations at Americans for Prosperity in Arlington, VA.
Ruiz graduated magna cum laude from Florida International University (Miami, FL) with a B.A. in history before attending George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management (Washington, D.C.).
“In fast-moving regulatory and legislative environments, Leandro’s experience will help us expand our policymaking footprint across both federal and state jurisdictions,” said Doug Troutman, Interim Co-CEO and Senior Vice President, Government Affairs. “We’re happy to welcome him to ACI’s government affairs team.”
